Professional Deterrence & Property Recovery

Non-Arrest Module — Ontario | All Security Personnel

This module teaches you to deter theft, recover property, and remove unwanted persons using communication, store policy, and Ontario law — without a physical arrest.

What You Will Learn

By the end of this module you will be able to:

  1. Apply the Basket/Cart Policy as a deterrence tool to prevent concealment before it escalates to theft

  2. Use Section 35 of the Criminal Code to verbally request property recovery — no physical contact required

  3. Execute the Witness & Report Protocol when physical intervention is not safe or authorized

  4. Identify Robbery escalation and respond with Safety of Life as your top priority
