Being the Policy Ambassador
When a client prohibits personal bags or backpacks in-store, your role is not to be an enforcer — it's to be a Policy Ambassador.
The policy exists to reduce concealment opportunities. Applied professionally, it interrupts theft before it starts.
When it applies:
The client has explicitly authorized the no-bag policy
You approach before any concealment has occurred
Your tone is helpful, not accusatory

"Sir/Ma'am, for safety and policy reasons, we ask that all items be carried in a store basket or cart. I can help you find one, or I can hold your bag at the front while you shop."
